A look at April 2019

May 10, 2019

April was a great month!  So much has happened and so much to talk about. I spent two evenings with a mentor and friend, Dr. Arthur Dugoni, the Dean of my Dental School, University of the Pacific (which is now named after him). He was my Dean when I was there and was an instructor to my Father, Keith Judd, when Dad was there. It was a wonderful time sharing memories and reconnecting. Dr. Dugoni has led dentistry into the future and continues to do so at the young age of 94.

The end of April brought my annual trip to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) meeting. This year the meeting was in San Diego and as expected, the area was beautiful. I learn from the best in the world, seeing the latest in advanced techniques, and I come away recharged and excited about what I do. It is always a great meeting.

This past Monday was the first time I missed work due to sickness in over fifteen years. I woke up with a cough and cold and just could not get out of bed. I have been blessed these many years to have strength and stamina to work. If I were to get sick, it was always on the weekend; and by Monday morning I would be fine. This time I was hit hard, but felt fine on Tuesday and was back at it.  I love coming to work and look forward to it each and every day.  Thank you to my Team and Patients who make each day a delight.
